About me

Curious and hands-on AI practitioner with technical depth and entrepreneurial drive.

My story

I first got into AI by trying to predict financial markets with neural networks, convinced that neural network based algorithmic trading would make me rich. Over time, my idea of being “rich” changed. What I want now is not only financial success but also experiences, meaningful connections, and the chance to make an impact.

That shift came through talking to people and building startups. I co-founded fintech projects that applied Bayesian methods and LSTMs to trading, and later SoundScript, a transcription platform for Dutch contact centres. (almost raised funding) Each venture showed me that the most exciting work happens where technical insight connects with business understanding and real human needs.

Another defining experience was during my bachelor thesis. I chose to be open about using AI tools in my research at a time when many others were not. This cost me formally, but it made me very conscious of transparency, proper evaluation, and the implications of LLMs for society and education. I believe these principles are essential if AI is to have a sustainable role in society.

Today, I build dialogue systems at DialogueTrainer, run AI workshops for high school students, and serve as business manager at PLNT Students incubator, where I oversee a €20k budget. Working with founders across different fields has shown me just how many types of problems AI can help address.

I am now moving from student life into my professional career, and I want to carry forward the curiosity and experimental drive that brought me here. My goal is to understand AI deeply at both a technical and strategic level, apply it in ways that matter, and share its rapid developments with those around me.
